Groundbreaking Ceremony of Ho Chi Minh City Third Ring Road Construction Project, Long An Province Section

On 30 June 2023, the People's Committee of Long An province held the groundbreaking ceremony for Ho Chi Minh City Third Ring Road Project, Long An province section.

The total length of Ho Chi Minh City Third Ring Road Project (RR3) is 76.34 km, divided into 08 component projects (4 civil packages, 4 compensation packages) passing through 04 provinces and city including Dong Nai (11.26km), Binh Duong (11.43km),  Ho Chi Minh city (47.11km), and Long An (6.54km).

A six to eight lanes of expressway is designed with a design speed of 100Km/h. In the first stage, a four-lane expressway with a design speed of 100Km/h will be built. The section through Long An province starts at the border of Ho Chi Minh City - Long An Province and ends at the interchange between Ben Luc - Long Thanh and Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong expressways passing through Ben Luc district. Hung Nghiep provided consulting services for survey, design, cost estimation and building information modeling (BIM) for the project.

Ho Chi Minh CIty Third Ring Road (RR3) Project aims to facilitate diverting through-traffic and reducing traffic congestion in the center of HCMC. Through construction of RR3, the connectivity of cities and towns surrounding HCMC, Mekong Delta Region and the Eastern Region will also be improved, transport costs and travel times for the movement of passengers and goods in and around HCMC will be reduced.
