Description of the Project:

The project component involved (1) the new construction of 15.3 km Long Xuyen City Bypass, starting from Lo Te interchange and ending at an intersection with NH91; (2) Widening, upgrading and improving 2km the existing NH.80 from Lo Te T-junction to the connection with Long Xuyen City Bypass. Scale: 2-carriage-lane asphalted road with 12-m embankment, design speed of 80km/h (except 60km/h for 2-km NH.80), reinforced concrete (RC) and prestressed RC bridges (11 bridges), design load HL-93, bridge width of 12m. Soft soil treatment is required.

Total investment cost is about USD 90 million (equivalent to VND 2,106,71 billion).

Scope of work included (i) Survey, preparation of construction drawings, cost estimates, procurement support and; (ii) Construction Supervision (including defect liabiality period).

Services provided by Hung Nghiep:

• Topographical survey; geotechnical survey; hydrological survey; and construction material survey and testing.
• Survey of  the existing structures on the route including crossings, intersections, power transmission line,  canals, culverts, drainage system …
• Review the approved feasibility study and basic design to determine optimal solutions.
• Prepare detailed engineering design of structural works including bridges and culverts.
• Soft soil treatment design by prefabricated vertical drain (PVD) in combination with geo-textile, cement soil column method
• Prepare Environmental Management Plan (EMP), review the site – specific health and safety management plan prepared by the Contractor
• Prepare updated resettlement plan, updated Social Action Plan
• Prepare cost estimates.
• Prepare all the related reports including: survey reports, detailed design report, cost estimate report,…
• Construction supervision and project management during the construction of the project.
