Description of the Project:

According to the planning, Ho Chi Minh Road Project has the starting point at Bac Po – Cao Bang Province and the ending point at Dat Mui – Ca Mau Province.The road runs through 30 cities and provinces with total length of 3,167km. Nam Can – Dat Mui section is the last section of Ho Chi Minh Road Project in Ca Mau Province, the road section connects with NH1 at Nam Can Town to Dat Mui. It is a new section passing through the terrain with many canals and ditches, and soft soil. Total length of the section is about 58.7km, cross section (pavement/embankment) = 6.0/7.5m, some segments passing through residential area has a cross section (pavement/embankment) = 11m/12m, except a segment passing through Nam Can Town has a cross section (pavement/embankment) = 21m/25m. Plain road of grade II, design speed of 80km/h. The road section includes 27 bridges crossing canals and rivers.
