Ground Breaking Ceremony for the Construction of Provincial Road 852B, Stage 2

On 01/12/2018, Dong Thap Department of Transport in cooperation with Sa Dec City People's Committee held the Ground Breaking Ceremony for the Construction of the Provincial Road 852B, Stage 2 (North-West Ring Road).

Attending the ceremony were Standing Deputy Secretary of the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Tan Hoang, leaders and representatives of related departments and offices, design consultants and construction contractors.

The Provincial Road 852B Project, Stage 2 (North-West Ring Road of Sa Dec city) was designed by Hung Nghiep Consulting Co., Ltd. The starting point of the Project connects with Sa Dec 2 Bridge (at Tan Quy Tay commune) and the ending point of the Project intersects with the National Highway 80 (at Tan Phu Dong commune). Total length of the route is 4.41km that goes through Sa Dec City and Lai Vung district. The total investment cost of the Project is 269 billion Vietnam Dong. The construction period is 2 years.

The road is designed according to the standard of plain road grade III, embankment width of 12m, pavement width of 9m, sidewalk of 1.5m each, and axle load of 10 tons. There are 04 reinforced concrete bridges on the route, deck width of 12m. The bridge is designed according to standard 22 TCN 272-05, design load: HL93.

On completion, the Project will connect the provincial road 848 and Sa Dec 2 Bridge with the National Highway 80 in order to thoroughly promote the resources and geographical position of Sa Dec City. The Project will facilitate the development of industrial zones to attract more investors, expand the urban space of Sa Dec City, develop the flower and tourism industry, and especially contribute to the socio-economic development of Sa Dec City in particular and Dong Thap province in general.
