Description of the Project:
Total length of the Project is about 98.3 km (the sections through Quang Tri and Thua Thien - Hue provinces is about 36.3 km and 62.05 km respectively). In the first phase, two-lane expressway was built with a design speed of 80 km/h, six-lane expressway will be built with a design speed of 100 km/h in the utimate phase. The entire route has 33 bridges on the highway, 16 overpasses, 5 interchanges (interchanges with NH9, NH15D, PR9B & PR14B, NH49 & NH1(Hue City bypass), PR14B). The project was classified as traffic works of Grade I and category A project. Total investment was USD 309 million (equalivalent to VND 7,669 billion).

- Topographic, geological and hydrological surveys; survey of construction material quarries; the existing road surface survey; survey of waste disposal areas and locations of concrete mixing plants.
- Survey of the existing structures on the route including road crossings, intersections, power lines, underpasses, canals, culverts and drainage systems;
- Placing site clearance stakes and red-line boundary markers
- Technical design of expresway, bridges and culverts, drainage systems, etc.
- Prepare cost estimates and related reports
- Prepare bidding documents for civil works packages.
