Description of the Project:

Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway Project Stage 1 has a total length of 53.7km, passing through Dong Nai and Ba Ria - Vung Tau provinces with total investment of about USD 719 million (equivalent to VND 17,800 billion). The starting point of the project intersects with the National Highway 1 bypass through Bien Hoa City and the ending point intersects with National Highway 56  in Ba Ria - Vung Tau. The project includes the construction of two important interchanges connecting with Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway and Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway. A sĩ-lane expressway with a width of 32.25m will be built in the frist stage and an eight-lane expressway with a width of 39.75m will be built in the final stage.

After completion, the expressway will shorten the travel time from Ho Chi Minh City to Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province, reduce traffic congestion on National Highway 51, promote the socio-economic development of Dong Nai, Ba Ria - Vung Tau provinces in particular and the Southeast region in general.

Hung Nghiep provided Consulting Services for Survey, Construction Drawings Design of expressway, bridges, overpasses, viaducts and associated technical infrastructure systems.

The span layouts of the big bridges on the expressway as follows:

• Flyover bridge: 39,1+4x40+39,1 = 252,m
• Viaduct, branch N3 (Vung  Tau – Long Thanh Airport): 30+6x35+3x30+2x35+30 = 435,4m
• Viaduct, branch N4 (Dau Giay – Bien Hoa): 30+6x35+30 = 280m
• Viaduct, branch N7 (Vung Tau – Dau Giay) : 8x35 + 30 = 315 m
• Viaduct, branch N12 (HCM – Bien Hoa): 6x35+30+3x35+30 = 380m
• Viaduct, left branch on HCM – LT _DG expressway: 39,1+4x40+42,5+45+42,5+40+30+6x40+40,8 = 733,57m
• Viaduct, right branch on HCM – LT _DG expressway: 39,1+4x40+42,5+45+42,5+30+8x40+39,1 = 729,4m
