Description of the Project:
Ong Dinh Canal is located in Ngoc Hien District, Ca Mau city. Total length of the canal is about 17.6km. The starting point of the canal connects with Cua Lon River (on the right bank at Nam Can Town) and the ending point of the canal connects with Rach Goc River at Rach Goc confluence. At present, the canal is occupied by sediment and limit waterway.
Ong Dinh Canal dredging is to improve the waterway system, connect the centre of Ngoc Hien District with Nam Can Town, and gradually complete the waterway transport system to meet the increasing demand on transport of commodities and passengers in the region.
