Description of the Project:

Total investment cost for Mai Son - National Highway 45 Expressway component project was more than USD 489 million. The project has a total length of 63.37 km, passing through the territory of Ninh Binh and Thanh Hoa provinces. A four-lane expressway with a maximum speed of 90 km/h was built in the first stage; in the utimate stage, a six-lane expressway with a design speed of 120 km/h will be built. The project consisted of two twin tunnels, Tam Diep tunnel (245 m long) and Thung Thi tunnel (680 m long), designed with 6 lanes. Mai Son - National Highway 45 Expressway included 5 interchanges, of which 2 interchanges were located in Ninh Binh province and 3 interchanges were located in Thanh Hoa province.
